About Us
At Apex Meridian House, we believe that housing is more than a place to live—it’s the foundation for healing, dignity, and opportunity.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Columbia, South Carolina, founded with one mission: to provide safe, stable, and affordable housing for individuals who have been overlooked, underserved, and told that starting over isn’t possible.
As a women-led organization, we proudly serve veterans, individuals in recovery, families experiencing housing insecurity, and others facing housing instability. We understand that behind every housing crisis is a person with hopes, strengths, and the potential to build a better future. Our role is to help make that future possible.
We believe that stable housing is the first step toward lasting transformation. A secure home creates the space for people to heal, reconnect with their families, pursue education, secure employment, and regain independence. That’s why our work extends beyond housing. Through education, community partnerships, resource navigation, and supportive services, we help individuals and families build the skills and confidence needed for long-term success.
At Apex Meridian House, we don’t simply provide shelter—we create pathways to stability, self-sufficiency, and renewed purpose. Every person who walks through our doors deserves to feel safe, respected, and empowered to move forward.
